Zabava was formed in 2004 under direction of Natalia Trailina. The main goal of this group is to preserve Russian Culture and Folk Heritage through the dance. All participants are enthusiastic people from former Soviet Union. Most of the group members have strong dancing background from their former home countries however for some dancers this group was their first dancing experience.
The talent of Zabava group members shows in their colorful costumes which have been created by the group members.
The combination of excellent dancers and talented artistic director gives group it’s unique personality.
Zabava performs in multiple festivals throughout Alberta and outside our province. Currently there are 18 participants in the group and this number is constantly growing.
